Fortune magazine labels Gary Hamel “the world’s leading expert on business strategy.”The Economist calls Hamel “the world’s reigning strategy guru.” Hamel’s landmark books, Leading the Revolution and Competing for the Future, have appeared on every management bestseller list and have been translated into more than 20 languages. The Journal of Business Strategy recently listed Hamel as one of the 20th century’s 25 most influential business thinkers, along with business pioneers such as Henry Ford and Bill Gates. Hamel has authored 15 articles for the Harvard Business Review and is the most reprinted author in the Review’s history. Since 1983, Hamel has served on the faculty of the London Business School where he is currently Visiting Professor of Strategic and International Management. Hamel’s pioneering concepts such as “strategic intent”, “core competence”, “industry revolution” and “corporate resilience” have changed the practice of management in companies around the world. At present, Hamel is leading an effort at the School to build the world’s first “Management Innovation Lab” to dramatically accelerate the evolution of management knowledge and practice. Hamel received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and has held faculty appointments at the U. of M. and Harvard Business School. He is a fellow of the World Economic Forum and serves on the editorial board of the Strategic Management Journal.

As Senior Vice President of Business & Economic Analysis for Visa USA, Wayne Best is the in-house economist and resident prognosticator for the trillion-dollar American payments industry. Combining a passion for business with an engineer's logic, Wayne has a knack for translating econometric analyses into plain English. In other words, he can explain and forecast the complex relationships between business and economic trends and the consumer's ability to spend, save, and pay down debt. Because he stays close to the underlying dynamics of the business, Wayne offers a unique perspective on both industry and national trends. He frequently appears on CNBC and ABC, meets with partner executives, and presents at industry conferences. Before joining Visa in 1990, Wayne worked as a consultant providing cost benefit analyses to the power industry. He holds an M.B.A. in management and a B.S. in nuclear engineering and has participated in the Kellogg School of Management Executive Program and the Stanford Executive Series.

Former Chairman of the SEC

Arthur Levitt served as the 25th Chairman of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). First appointed by President Clinton in July 1993, Chairman Levitt was re-appointed to a second five-year term in May 1998. Levitt has the unique distinction of being the longest serving Chairman in the history of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). During his decade-long career as head of the SEC, Levitt worked to educate, empower and protect America’s investors. Prior to joining the Commission, Levitt owned Roll Call, a newspaper covering Capitol Hill and served as Chairman of the American Stock Exchange from 1978 to 1989. In 2005, Levitt was named a special advisor to the American International Group’s board of directors and the board’s nominating and corporate governance committee. For the past seven years, Levitt has conducted more than 40 investor town meetings throughout the country, listening to the concerns of investors and providing tips on safe and wise participation in the securities markets. Levitt currently serves on the board of directors for Bloomberg LLP. Author of both Take On the Street: What Wall Street and Corporate America Don’t Want You to Know and Take on the Street: How to Fight for Your Financial Future, Levitt is a proven expert in his field. He has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of the financial reporting process, maintain the independence of auditors and save investors billions of dollars by reducing spreads in the Nasdaq market.

Christopher A. CalleroChristopher A. Callero

Chris Callero currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Experian Group, a $4.0 billion global information solutions company. In this capacity he is responsible for all of Experian’s operations in North and Latin America as well as the Global Business Lines of Consumer Information, Decision Analytics, Business Information, Interactive, Marketing Services, Client Relationship Management and Technology.

Prior to joining Experian, Chris spent more than 27 years at Bank of America where his roles included Group Executive Vice President, managing several national businesses including consumer lending, small business, interactive banking, eCommerce, ATMs, debit cards, deposit products, retail investments, insurance and liability risk management.

He also previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Wink Communications, a leading interactive television company. Prior to his current role, he served as President of Experian’s credit services business, having joined the company in 2002.

At the University of California, Irvine, he serves as a member of the Chancellor's Chief Executive Roundtable, the Dean's Advisory Board of the Paul Merage School of Business and a member of the Leadership Council at the Bren School, Information and Computer Sciences. Additionally, Chris is on the board of directors for Orange County Technology Action Network (OCTANe).
